Description

Born in Scotland and now residing in Hong Kong, Marlene Watson has been painting her way through life. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. The attainable excellence that giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. She paints things she notices in everyday life and brings out her positive energy through her work. The result is wide acceptance of giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. She cares for 12 cats and works toward animal conservation and rescues with her art. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a black and white designed silhouette of the San Francisco, California skyline.
