KFOAM material slopes down and sits underneath a firmer material which gives the shoe a springier toe-off. To increase efficiency and contribute to the springy toe-off, designers included a carbon fiber plate in the midfoot of the midsole. Moving on up, the Spire 3s internal midfoot webbing and lightweight mesh upper work together to comfortably hold your foot in place throughout your stride.
